My goal is very simple, to make pencil drawings from direct observation and then to incorporate my imagination more and more as I develop. The pieces then evolve from something that I see to something that I feel.

I do not confine my subject matter as for me the world around me changes from moment to moment and it is this creativity and observation that challenges my images.

ALI ISCAN IS A LONDON-BASED ARTIST, SPECIALISING IN MIXED MEDIA, OIL PAINT, PRINT, AND SCULPTURE. ALI BEGAN HIS CAREER AS A FINE ARTS TEACHER IN TURKEY AND MOVED TO LONDON IN 1985. HE BEGAN HIS ARTISTIC CAREER IN 2004 WHEN HE STARTED TO DRAW AGAIN AT THE WALTHAMSTOW ART CENTRE. SINCE THEN, HE HAS EXHIBITED SOLO AND IN GROUPS, AT THE LEYTONSTONE ART TRAIL.
